Spiced Apple Muffins(15 Large Muffins)

Combine dry ingredients; make a well in center of mixture. Combine milk, shortening and egg; add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened.

Spoon batter into greased muffin tins, filling 2/3 full.

Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
