Strawberry Ice Cream
Strawberry Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. strawberries, mashed, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 c. sugar and 3 c. whipping cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar.
Stir well.
Set aside.
Beat eggs with mixer until frothy.
Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating until thick.
Add cream, milk, almond extract and salt.
Mix well.
Stir in strawberry mixture.
Pour mixture into freezer can of a 1 gallon ice cream freezer.
Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Let ripen at least 1 hour.
