Sugar Cookies(Christmas)
Sugar Cookies(Christmas) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 3 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream the shortening.
Add sugar, milk, eggs and vanilla. Then mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add to mixture.
Chill dough for 1 hour.
Then roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut in desired shapes.
Place on cookie sheet.
Brush with milk. Sprinkle with sugar or top with nuts, red or green sugar or tiny colored candies, gumdrops, cherries or raisins.
Bake at 375Β° for 15 minutes.
