Time-out Macadamia Cookies
Time-Out Macadamia Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1/2 c. vegetable shortening, 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. granulated sugar and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until smooth.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; stir until a soft dough forms.
Stir in white chocolate and macadamia nuts.
Drop teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
Store in an air tight container. Yields: about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
