Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt.
Add gradually.

Beat well.
Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheets.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
