Viennese Brownies
Viennese Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature), 1/3 c. sugar, 1 egg, beaten, 1/4 tsp. almond extract and 2 sq. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar and 1 egg.
Add almond extract; set aside.
In small saucepan melt chocolate and butter together.
Beat 2 eggs.
Add sugar and chocolate mixture.
Beat in sifted and combined flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour half the chocolate mixture into a well-greased and floured square baking pan (8-inches).
Gently spread the cream cheese mixture.
Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
Bake in 350Β° oven 45 to 50 minutes, until cake tester inserted in center comes away clean.
Cool in pan before cutting into rectangles or squares.
