Andy's Potato Doughnuts
Andy'S Potato Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 c. mashed potatoes, 1/2 c. sweet milk and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Beat mashed potatoes and add melted shortening, beaten eggs and milk.
Sift together flour, salt, nutmeg and baking powder. Add potato mixture.
Dough should be soft, yet firm enough to roll.
Separate in two parts and roll to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with doughnut cutter and cook in deep fat at 365Β°.
Fry until golden brown and drain on absorbent paper.
Dust with powdered sugar or a cinnamon sugar mixture.
