Baked Beans
Baked Beans is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. california pea beans, 1 1/2 c. white sugar, 1 tbsp. salt and 1/2 lb. bacon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Soak beans overnight.
Sort through for bad beans.
Parboil 10 minutes until skins split if you blow on them.
Mix sugar and salt together; cut bacon into 1-inch squares.
Drain beans.
Layer in crock-pot; start with bacon and end with same.
Cook with enough water to cover for 8 to 10 hours, stirring every once in awhile. Cook covered.
