Banana Cake
Banana Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter, 3 c. granulated sugar, 2 c. mashed bananas, 4 eggs, beaten and 2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream butter and sugar, add bananas and continue creaming until completely smooth.
Add eggs and beat.
Sift flour and soda together, add to banana mixture with buttermilk in four additions, beat after each addition.
Mix in pecans, vanilla and bourbon. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9 inch layer pans.
Bake at 350 degree for 45 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
Cool on racks.
Ice with Banana Nut Frosting or any caramel frosting.
