Barbecue Flank Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with pepper.
In a shallow dish, just large enough to hold the steak, whisk together the oil, lemon juice, soy sauce and garlic.
Add the steak, coating both sides well with the marinade.
Let it marinate for 20 minutes, turning it once.
Remove the steak from marinade and grill it on an oiled rack over glowing coals, brushing it occasionally with the marinade and turning it once for 10 to 12 minutes for medium-rare meat.
