Cut ribs and place in shallow pan.
Sprinkle on salt, pepper and onion.
Roast uncovered at 450° until browned, about 20 minutes.
Combine all other ingredients, except lemon slices; bring to boil over medium-high heat, then remove from heat. Remove meat from oven, top with lemon slices and pour on sauce. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, basting often.
