Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Cream butter and Crisco until fluffy.
Add sugar, one cup at a time, creaming thoroughly after each addition.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Sift flour; measure.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternately into creamed mixture.
Mix thoroughly.
Add vanilla.
Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.
Pan may be lined with waxed paper.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 30 minutes (great with Caramel Icing).
