Chicken-Fried Steak
Chicken-Fried Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. boneless round steak, 1/3 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and dash of nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut meat in serving pieces.
Mix together flour, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Dredge meat in seasoned flour.
Combine milk and eggs.
Dip meat in egg and milk mixture and roll in bread crumbs. Brown meat in hot oil approximately 2 1/3 minutes each side for rare, 4 minutes each side for medium and 6 minutes each side for well-done.
