Coffee Cake (Not Yeast) is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. nutmeg and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix flour, brown sugar, nutmeg, salt and oil together.
Take out 3/4 cup.
To this, add cinnamon and nuts; set aside.
To the rest of the mixture, add the buttermilk, eggs and baking soda. Mix well and pour into 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle nut mixture on top.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Mix confectioners sugar and water together; drizzle over warm cake.
