Grate or shred cabbage and soak in water for an hour Drain and rinse well and pat off water.
Mix sour cream, sugar and cider vinegar well and pour over cabbage and mix well.
If using caraway seeds, spin then in the blender long enough to release the oils and mix in the slaw.
