Cranberry Coffee Cake
Cranberry Coffee Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 2 hours 28 minutes. Made with margarine, c. sugar, eggs, . baking powder and . baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream margarine and add sugar gradually.
Add unbeaten eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together alternately with the sour cream, ending with the dry ingredients.
Add teaspoon extract.
Pour half batter greased and floured 9 x 3-inch tube pan.
Spread evenly with half the cranberries.
Add rest of batter and top with remaining cranberries.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 55 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. Combine powdered sugar, water and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Dribble over cooled cake.
Serves 12.
