English Muffin Loaves
English Muffin Loaves is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. fleischmann's dry yeast, 6 c. unsifted flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
👨🍳 Instructions
Combine 3 cups (or 1/2) of the measured flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
Heat liquid until very warm (120° to 130°).
Add dry mixture; beat well.
Stir in remaining 3 cups of flour to make a stiff batter.
Spoon into 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch) bread pans (greased and sprinkled with cornmeal).
Sprinkle top with cornmeal.
Cover; let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Remove immediately from pan and cool.
