English Muffins
English Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 c. warm water, 1 tsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1/4 c. margarine, melted and cooled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Dissolve yeast in water.
Add sugar, salt, margarine and flour.
Mix until blended and dough is soft.
Roll 1/4 inch thick on floured board.
Cut in 3 1/2-inch circles (smaller for cocktail size).
Place on cornmeal sprinkled baking sheet.
Sprinkle more cornmeal on top.
Cover and let rise until double.
Bake on medium hot griddle (ungreased) or 350Β° electric skillet about 7 minutes on each side until browned.
Makes 12 large or 36 small muffins.
