Freezer Slaw
Freezer Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 gallon cabbage, chopped fine, 3 tsp. salt, celery, green peppers and carrots, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix cabbage and salt together and let stand one hour.
Then add; celery, green peppers, carrots and onions, chopped fine, as much of each as you like.
Combine the following in a saucepan: vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed, and mustard seed.
Boil for one minute then cool to room temperature.
Pour over chopped vegetables, mixing well.
Pack into freezer containers.
To use just thaw and serve.
