German Reuben Casserole
German Reuben Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 medium potatoes, cooked, 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained, 1/2 lb. smoked sausage and kielbasa, thinly sliced (i use turkey), 1/2 c. thousand island dressing and 2 tbsp. chopped parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Pare and cube potatoes; set aside.
Combine sauerkraut, potatoes, sausage, dressing and parsley.
Spoon into 10 x 6 x 2-inch ovenproof glass baking dish, which has been greased or sprayed with non-stick spray.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese and green pepper on top and bake 5 minutes more.
