Ham and Sausage Jambalaya
Ham And Sausage Jambalaya is an impressive dinner. Made with 2/3 cup vegetable oil, 2 med onions chopped, 1 med green bell pepper chopped, 3 celery stalks chopped and 5 med cloves garlic minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In large heavy pot heat oil, add onion, pepper, celery, and garlic.
Cook for about 5 minutes.
Add ham and sausage, cook until sausage is light brown (8 minutes).
Add rice, cook 5 minutes-add tomatoes, beef broth and seasoning.
Reduce heat. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and liquid is reduced (about 45 minutes).
Add shrimp, simmer 5-10 minutes.
Stir in parsley and green onion.
Serve hot. (6-8 dinner size servings).
