Hand Freezer Ice Cream
Hand Freezer Ice Cream is an easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, separated, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 large can evaporated milk, 1/8 tsp. salt and about 2 qt. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Beat yolks and whites of eggs separately.
Add sugar and evaporated milk to yolks; beat well.
Fold in beaten egg whites to which salt has been added.
Pour into freezer can.
Add enough milk to cover top of dasher.
Do not overfill.
Allow room for expansion in freezing.
Freeze according to freezer directions.
Yield: 1 gallon.
