Heat olive oil in deep skillet, add garlic, onion and green pepper.
Cook until onion pieces are soft.
Add ground meat and cook until no longer pink.
Drain off grease.
Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms, and let simmer, uncovered, for one hour.
During the last 15 minutes of cooking time, add mushrooms and adjust seasoning.
Serve immediately over cooked spaghetti. Top with grated cheese.
