Italian Smoked Sausage Bean Soup
Italian Smoked Sausage Bean Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced, 1 c. onion, chopped, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped and 3 1/2 c. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown sausage and onions in oil for 5 minutes.
Add the tomatoes with the juice, water, pasta and broth and bring to a boil.
Add the beans.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer until the pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.
Just before serving, sprinkle with grated cheese.
