Jambalaya
Jambalaya is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with fryer, cut into pieces, . smoked hot sausage, . bacon drippings, . flour and medium onions, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Brown sausage and chicken in bacon drippings.
Remove; add flour to make roux.
Add onions, green pepper and garlic.
Cook until tender.
Add water, rice, tomatoes, parsley, onion tops and salt.
Stir in browned sausage and chicken.
Bring to boil, reduce heat to low temperature and cook covered for 1 hour.
Serves 8 to 10.
