Made with 1 lb. ground lamb or beef, 1/2 c. finely chopped parsley, 1 c. tomato sauce*, 1 c. water and 4 medium potatoes, cooked, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Thoroughly mix all ingredients except tomato sauce, water, potatoes and tomatoes.
Knead until fluffy.
Place into a 9-inch round cake pan, spreading about 3/4-inch thick but higher at the sides.
Cut the potatoes and place attractively on top of meat. Slice tomatoes and lay on top of potatoes.
Mix water and tomato sauce; pour over and around meat.
