Low-Fat Hunter-Style Chicken
Low-Fat Hunter-Style Chicken is an moderately easy healthy dish you can prepare in about 1 hour 2 minutes. Made with bacon (i use turkey bacon), medium onion, sliced, . can tomatoes, cut up, . sugar and chicken breasts (boneless and skinless), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces, in a large skillet until partially cooked, then add onion and continue to cook until onion is tender.
Remove bacon and onion and brown chicken breasts in drippings (there will be hardly any if you use turkey bacon). Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Drain any fat from pan and combine cooked bacon and onion with tomatoes, Heinz 57 sauce and sugar and add to chicken.
Cover and simmer 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
Great with hot rice.
