Nasi Goreng(Indonesian Fried Rice)
Nasi Goreng(Indonesian Fried Rice) is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground chuck, 1/4 c. dried bread crumbs, 2 eggs (unbeaten), 2 c. chopped onions and 3 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine chuck, bread crumbs, eggs, 1/2 cup onions, salt and pepper.
Form into tiny meat balls; set aside.
In large Dutch oven, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
Add 1 1/2 cups onions and celery; saute until golden.
Remove from pan.
In same pan, brown meat balls, keeping them round by rotating pan.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter.
Add curry, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and broth; bring to boil.
Add rice; cover, remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
Add celery-onion mixture, shrimp and rice to meat balls in pan.
Cover; heat until hot.
Serve in same Dutch oven or heaped on platter.
Serves 8 to 10.
