New Orleans Chili
New Orleans Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can cajun or original style stewed tomatoes, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 2 c. diced, cooked beef, 1 onion, chopped and 1 green pepper, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In large saucepan, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, meat, onion, pepper, chili powder, cumin and cayenne pepper.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Stir in kidney beans and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Garnish with shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired. Serves 6.
