No-Fry Doughnuts
No-Fry Doughnuts is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 pkgs yeast, 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and 4 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In a large mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add milk, sugar, spices, eggs, shortening and 2 cups flour.
Blend 30 seconds on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Stir in remaining flour, scraping sides of bowl.
Cover, let rise in a warm place 50 - 60 minutes.
Turn dough onto well floured cloth covered board; roll out lightly to coat with flour.
Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with 2 1/2 inch doughnut cutter.
Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet, brush with melted butter.
Cover for 20 minutes.
Heat oven to 425 and bake 8 - 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Immediately brush with melted butter and shake on sugar and cinnamon.
