Pecan Tarts
Pecan Tarts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1 egg and 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Blend cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter.
Stir in flour and chill 1 hour.
Heat oven to 325°.
Roll dough into 24 (1-inch) balls and press into 1 1/2-inch muffin tins.
Beat egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla and salt together.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans on dough in tins.
Add egg mixture and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Bake at 325° about 25 minutes or until set.
Cool in pans.
Makes 24 tarts.
