Rolled Sugar Cookies
Rolled Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. plain flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, 6 tbsp. butter or margarine (regular margarine) and 1/3 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat butter or margarine and shortening for 30 seconds.
Add sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Add flour mixture; beat well.
Divide dough in half.
Cover and chill 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Working with half the dough at a time, on lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with cookie or biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 7 to 8 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
