Shrimp and Ham Jambalaya
Shrimp And Ham Jambalaya is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. ham, cubed, 1 1/2 to 2 lb. cooked and peeled shrimp, 1 onion, chopped, 1 green pepper, chopped and 1 1/2 c. long grain rice (uncooked), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Fry bacon; remove from pan.
In same pan, saute onion and pepper in the bacon grease until tender.
Add uncooked rice; cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add chicken broth, garlic salt, thyme and bay leaf.
Cover and cook on low about 15 minutes. Add shrimp and ham.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
