Slaw
Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with medium head cabbage, grated, 1 onion, chipped, 1/2 tsp. celery seed, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. turmeric, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Dump cabbage, pepper (optional), onion (optional) and carrot together in medium size bowl.
Put white vinegar or cider vinegar, sugar, salt and turmeric in saucepan and boil for 2 or 3 minutes. (Celery seed may be boiled with vinegar or it may be placed on bowl with cabbage, whichever you prefer.)
Pour vinegar mix over cabbage mix and stir.
Place in a bowl that you can seal and put in refrigerator.
Best prepared day before.
Will keep for a long time
