Spaghetti All Amatriciane
Spaghetti All Amatriciane is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. spaghetti, 1 medium onion, chopped, 5 oz. bacon, chopped, 1 tbsp. tomato paste and 1/2 c. dry wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cook onion and bacon together until onion is translucent and bacon is slightly brown.
Add tomato paste and "fry" a little. Add wine and cook down to half.
Add can of tomatoes, red pepper and salt and pepper.
Cook until tomatoes fall apart and juice is almost gone.
Grate cheese.
Cook and drain spaghetti.
Toss spaghetti with sauce.
Pass the cheese.
