Summer Jambalaya
Summer Jambalaya is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 medium size green pepper, chopped, 1/2 c. chopped green onions and 5 cloves garlic, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cook sausage in Dutch oven until browned.
Remove sausage and discard drippings. Add ground beef, green pepper, green onions and garlic to Dutch oven. Cook until beef is browned. Drain. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and sausage.
Cover.
Simmer 20 minutes. Add rice and water to meat mixture. Cover and cook 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
