Swedish Rye Bread
Swedish Rye Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/4 c. medium rye flour, 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. warm water, 1/2 c. molasses and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine milk, sugar and salt;
Beat in molasses, shortening and yeast mixture with 1 cup rye flour.
Beat until smooth.
Remaining flour mix until dough leaves sides of bowl.
Lightly floured board.
Knead until smooth and no longer sticky.
Bake in oven at 350Β° (makes 2 loaves). Bake until dark brown (not burnt).
