Tortellini Soup Stew
Tortellini Soup Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 large can whole tomatoes, 1 lb. italian sweet sausage, cut in pieces (don't brown), 1 (15 oz.) italian tomato sauce, 4 to 7 c. beef stock-consomme (5 cans) and 1 c. chopped onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine tomatoes, sausage (uncooked), tomato sauce, beef stock, onion, garlic, carrots, basil and oregano in a large pot. Simmer 30 minutes.
Do not boil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer another hour.
Add tortellini last.
Serves 10.
