Twinkle, Christmas Stars is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (15 oz.) pkg. duncan hines golden sugar cookie mix, 1 egg, 1 tsp. grated lemon peel, 1 egg, lightly beaten and colored sugar, currants, sprinkles (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 375Β°. Empty both mix pouches into bowl.
Add egg and lemon peel.
Mix well. Divide dough in half.
Roll out 1/2 about 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters that have been dipped in flour.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
Brush lightly with beaten egg. Decorate with colored sugar, currants or sprinkles or bake plain (no egg wash) to frost later. Repeat with remaining dough.
Bake 6 to 7 minutes.
Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet with spatula. Makes 36 cookies.
