Vanilla Ice Cream
Vanilla Ice Cream is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 34 minutes. Made with qt. milk, large box vanilla pudding (not instant), c. sugar, eggs and sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Scald milk.
Gradually add the box of vanilla pudding.
Then add 2 1/4 cups sugar.
Cook until thick.
Beat eggs real good. Add 1 cup sugar to eggs.
Add egg mixture gradually to the cooked mixture, and cook another 20 minutes.
Add Carnation Milk.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Pour into ice cream freezer.
Yields 5-6 quarts of ice cream.
