Vanilla Ice Cream
Vanilla Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. sugar, 6 tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 5 c. milk, scalded and 6 eggs, well beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine sugar, flour and salt in large saucepan.
Slowly stir in hot milk.
Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened.
Mix small amount of hot mixture into beaten eggs.
Add eggs back to hot mixture; cook about 2 minutes longer.
Chill completely in refrigerator.
Add Carnation and vanilla.
Freeze in ice cream churn.
