In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Blend in bananas and lemon juice.
Mix flour, baking soda and salt together.
Blend into banana mixture; stir in apricots.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake in 325Β° oven for 1 hour and 10 to 20 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool.
