Baked Onion Rings
Baked Onion Rings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large onions, 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning, 3 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese (optional), 1 egg (no substitutions) and 1 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs (1/2 whole wheat preferred), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Slice each onion about 1/4-inch thick and separate into rings. Soak in cold, salted water about 30 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
Combine bread crumbs, poultry seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
In a separate bowl, mix egg and water; beat well.
Dip onion rings into bread crumb mixture; then into egg mixture and then into crumbs again.
Salt lightly if desired.
Arrange rings on a greased jelly roll pan.
Cover with foil and bake in a hot 400Β° oven for 10 minutes.
Remove foil and continue baking 20 minutes more or until crispy.
Serve immediately.
