Buttermilk Coffee Cake
Buttermilk Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 3/4 c. salad oil and 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix flour, salt and cinnamon in large bowl.
Add brown sugar and salad oil.
Mix on medium speed with electric mixer until crumbly.
Take out 3/4 cup of this mixture for the topping and set aside.
To the remaining mixture, add soda, baking powder, egg and buttermilk.
Mix until smooth.
Spoon mixture into a buttered pan (9 x 13 x 2-inch) and sprinkle reserved topping evenly over top. Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes or until tests done.
Cut into squares.
Serve warm or room temperature.
