Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce
Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. hamburger, 1 clove chopped garlic, 1 chopped green pepper, 1 lb. chopped onions and 32 oz. bottle catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Put hamburger, onions, garlic and green pepper in a large pan. Cover with water.
Simmer until vegetables are soft.
Drain. (Save broth as a base for soup.)
Add catsup and chili powder. Simmer slowly, uncovered, about 2 1/2 hours.
Serve over hot dogs. Sprinkle with grated cheese. This sauce can be frozen.
