French Onion Soup
French Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 5 yellow onions, 3 tbsp. margarine, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1 tbsp. flour and 3 cans beef broth, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Saute onions in margarine; add pepper.
Cook until golden brown.
Add flour and cook 1 minute longer.
Remove from heat. Add broth, water and bay leaf.
Cook for 40 minutes and remove bay leaf.
Place soup into individual soup bowls.
Toast bread, place into bowls and sprinkle cheese on top.
Place soup bowls in oven at 425Β° until cheese melts.
Serves 4 to 6.
