Green Enchilada Casserole
Green Enchilada Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 doz. tortillas, 1/2 c. finely chopped onion, 1/2 lb. ground meat, 1 can cream of chicken soup and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Fry tortillas in hot fat until they bubble.
Drain.
Place a layer in a 3-quart casserole.
Top each tortilla with onion, cheese and meat that has been broken up, browned and drained. Continue until all tortillas are used.
Combine milk, soup and green chilies; pour over tortilla layer.
Bake at 350Β° for about 30 minutes.
