Homemade Ice Cream
Homemade Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. water, 1 envelope unflavored gelatin, 1/2 c. cold milk and 1 1/2 c. scalded milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Bring the sugar and water to a boil for 5 minutes.
Soften the gelatin in the cold milk; stir until dissolved.
Add the scalded milk to the gelatin mixture to dissolve.
Add the sugar syrup, salt, eggs, vanilla, half and half and milk.
Pour into a 1-gallon ice cream freezer.
Use chipped ice and approximately 3 cups rock salt.
Turn freezer until ice cream becomes stiff.
