Italian Slaw
Italian Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium-size head cabbage, 1 medium-size onion, 1 3/4 c. sugar, divided, 3/4 c. vinegar and 1/2 c. oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Shred cabbage, place in a large bowl, in alternate layers of cabbage and thinly sliced onion rings.
Top with 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to boil 1 cup sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, dry mustard and celery seed.
When mixture boils, pour over cabbage.
Do not stir. Cover; let stand overnight or at least 6 to 8 hours.
