Mary's Bran Muffins

Lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray the insides of muffin tins (1 1/2-inches deep) to accommodate about 15 muffins. Thoroughly blend together the bran, flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and raisins in a bowl.
Whisk the buttermilk, molasses, oil and egg in a bowl.
Pour over dry ingredients and mix until well blended.
